ABOUT

Sugarcane Studio is a client that I work with to help redesign their website, and most importantly to help made their user experience more friendly.

During this project, I have used wireframes in Figma to reimagine their navigation system, research on the best website builder platform for their needs, and create a website for them on Squarespace.

My Process

EMPHATISE

Creating customer personas are one of the first steps to create empathy. Knowing the brand’s customer base helps me to understand the goal of user experience for sugarcane studio.

BRAINSTORM

Research the brand’s voice and especially their fellow similar small businesses websites helped me understand what works and what don’t.

PROTOTYPE

Creating wireframe helps me to visualise how the website would flow like. This wireframe was a combination of their current website and a website we found that matches what we think the user experience flow of their brand the best.

TEST

I used Squarespace to create their website and from there we could see what works and what don’t.

We are also switching from Wix to Squarespace, so this test building took a quite a bit of getting use to, but we manage to work around it and adjust to Squarespace freedom and limitations.
