ABOUT

Sugarcane Studio is a client that I work with to help redesign their website, and most importantly to help make their user experience more friendly.

During this project, I have used wireframes in Figma to reimagine their navigation system, research on the best website builder platform for their needs, and create a website for them on Squarespace.

My Process

EMPATHISE

Creating customer personas are one of the first steps to create empathy. Knowing the brand’s customer base helps me to understand the goal of user experience for sugarcane studio.

BRAINSTORM

Research into the brand’s voice and, especially, their fellow small businesses’ websites helps me to understand what works and what doesn’t.

PROTOTYPE

Creating wireframes help me to visualise how the website will flow. This wireframe was a combination of their current website and a website I found that matched the user experience flow of their brand the best.

TEST

I use Squarespace to prototype website design to see what works and what doesn’t.

In this use case, I was tasked to migrate the website from Wix to Squarespace. The test building took a quite a bit of getting used to, but I manage to work around it and adjust to Squarespace’s freedom and limitations.
